The average life of a hearing aid battery depends various factors such as:
A 312 size battery lasts for an average of 150-160 hrs, 10 size batteries lasts for an average of 90-100 hrs, 13 size battery lasts for an average of 220-230 hrs, 675 size battery lasts for an average of 500-530 hrs Quick Tip: Battery alwasy needs to be removed from behind the strip to maximise battery life. The longest lasting batteries are 675 size batteries used for super power hearing aids.
When not being used for 3-4 days, the battery needs to be completely removed from the hearing aid. The batteries should never be kept in the dehumidifying kit. Always place the battery in the battery slot of the hearing aids, with the positive side facing upwards..
After low battery warning is heard, it is advisable to change the battery immediately.
Tip: After complete discharge of the battery (no sign of squealing when held in hand), it should not be left in the hearing aid.
